AKASHA LONSDALE
a guide and catalyst for postive change when
times are difficult,
stress is high,
relationships aren’t working,
confidence is low or
you’ve reached a crossroads in your life and you can’t see the wood for the trees
Is it all a bit too much at the moment?
Are the pressures of life a bit of a
juggle?
Is there enough
laughter in your life?
Would a simple
meditation technique for everyday use help?
Are you searching for new direction and purpose?
Could you benefit
from some deep, rejuvenating relaxation?
Are you fed up with feeling “fed up”?
How are your
relationships?
Do you sometimes
feel like something is missing?
Even if you only answer “yes” to a few of these, why not let me help you get more out of
life?
Personal Support (or
Counselling) is for those moments in life when you can't see the wood for the
trees and just really need the chance to talk a situation or feeling through with a skilled and intuitive listener
who can help you get clearer what's going on and what, if anything, needs to be
done.
Communication
Coaching is because this area is a minefield! Knowing how to communicate
effectively can mean make or break at work, at home, with friends and family. Over the years, working with hundreds
of people on this key skill has saved marriages, kept jobs, achieved promotion and generally improved the quality
of many lives.
Psychotherapy tends to enquire more deeply into the reasons
for low self-esteem, continued relationship breakdown and lack of confidence, so it will generally require a
minimum of twelve sessions to explore this. However, most people know when they need this more in-depth work, even
if they don't really want to admit it. So sometimes the best way forward is to stick your toe in the water and
start with a couple of personal support sessions. Psychotherapy is a word that can make people nervous because it
conjures images of couches and years of naval gazing but I have no interest in keeping people working with me
longer than needed and I'll give you an honest opinion as to what I believe the best way forward is for you - and
psychotherapy will not always be the
answer!
Hypnotherapy is a very powerful and deep relaxation tool that
can be used to good effect for a range of issues from phobias to poor sleep to anxiety - unless there are deeper
underlying reasons that block the impact, in which case a mix of talking therapy and hypnosis is most effective.
What it isn't is a magic cure-all and contrary to what stage hypnotists would have people believe, neither is it
mind domination. So don't be afraid to give it a
try.
Stress
Management is needed when pressure gets too much and manifests in poor sleep, a
feeling of not coping, impaired health and erratic emotions. As a specialist in this area, I can help you regain
your emotional and physical balance.
Rejuvenating
Relaxation is a closed eye process to gentle music that allows you to rest and
recharge your emotional, mental and physical batteries so that you leave a session with a renewed spring in your
step. You'll probably sleep better too!
Note: For an additional fee the session can be recorded and converted to either an
mp3 or CD so that you can continue to benefit as long as you like. Alternatively you can just purchase a copy of
the popular "Bliss-Out" CD which is also available as an mp3 download.
Mindfulness
Meditation is a technique that can be learned by anyone and is not related to a
religion or philosophical belief. Through a gentle and gradual process of awareness, it is possible to find a place
of inner stillness that helps to balance the two sides of the brain (left is reason, right is emotion) for more
effective functioning.
Spiritual
Mentoring is ideal when you are asking yourself the deeper questions of life
such as "what's it all about?" or "is this all there is?" They can come at any point in life and usually indicate a
search for meaning that comes from feeling like something is missing. This does not necessarily mean a search for
religion but a desire to understand more of the spiritual mystery of life that stands alone as well as being at the
heart of all religions. As an ordained Interfaith Minister, respectful and versed in all major faiths, I can help
you explore these questions and offer
insights.
