Coaching
Grow yourself to grow your results,
professionally – and personally - with a powerfully facilitative
coach, including Executive Coaching
Why have coaching?
People who come for coaching with us
are often at a turning point in their job,
their work, their career, and frequently their life
in general.
Many are facing change and
the challenges it is throwing up. Others might be encountering
personal or behavioural difficulties in the role,
as compared with the technical skills, experience or knowledge to
do the job, and are under pressure to do things better or move on -
or be moved on. Sometimes people find themselves in roles which
they realise they are not fully equipped for.
The challenges might be personal - or
interpersonal, managing themselves in situations or
dealing with particular personalities around them.
It could be that someone is needing to
grow as a leader to suit the role or future roles
or need to upscale as the organisation grows. Maybe leadership is
something new or challenging, calling on them to work with people
and get results in ways they've not done before.
Or, maybe someone needs just to do
work on themselves or to clarify
direction and goals.
Maybe someone just wants to just
sort their life out, as so many of us need to do. But far
fewer of us take the courage to do something about it.
The coaching solution
Your coach will get to the heart of the
matter. He or she
-
Works beneath the surface of issues to bring
about change
-
Has the ability to get right to the heart of
where you are struggling and help you move on
-
Can ask you the right questions
-
Encourages you to grow
-
Will challenge you supportively
-
Has wide experience of developing people to
bring to your work
-
Can construct with you a programme that suits
your needs and engages with your concerns
-
Supports your personal responsibility and
empowerment
People who work with us often have great
potential but don't know how to realise it. Often they know that
there is something better for them and have the answers inside
them. They often want to grow and they respond to taking personal
responsibility.
A coaching partnership involves these
features
-
An initial meeting to get to the bottom-line
issues, identify goals, agree a plan of action for the
coaching and crucially gain commitment to the
process
-
Each session builds on the agreed plan and
explores issues in-depth. Homework is often agreed, which is
reviewed at the start of the next session
-
The work is often done in partnership
with a sponsor in the organisation or a line
manager, and others may have an in-put, such as in giving feedback,
whilst respecting personal confidentiality
-
Concluding sessions then summarise the work
done and agree goals going forward
-
The coach uses facilitative questioning and
listening and powerful dialogue, helps you draw out your strengths
and your potential and supports you to resolve those areas that get
in the way of your success
-
Sessions are often on-site but can be
supported by tele-coaching remotely
There are many options
-
A one-off Self-Empowerment day, with a
follow-up to monitor progress
-
A full-scale Personal Effectiveness programme
of up to 8 sessions with 2 follow-ups
-
-
Combined team review
workshops and 1-to-1’s with team members
There are always other formats to suit
your needs. Our experience is so wide that we can usually come up
with ideas that match your needs.
