John is a highly skilled and experienced life transformation coach, consultant, facilitator and executive coach, specialising in personal growth for Leadership and Management Development. John's work has included:

  • Leadership and executive coaching and facilitated development programmes to enhance emotional intelligence, personal effectiveness, communication, performance and career success.
  • Helping a senior team to correct areas of dysfunctionality, support a new leader in establishing himself in role in a complex organisation going through major re-restructuring, develop a smooth and effective collaborative style and thus be capable of driving through a major change initiative while being in a high-profile political situation
  • Large-group facilitated event to bring together disparate and conflicting groups around a common purpose after major restructuring, involving working closely with the Director of a London University college department in the development and leadership of the event and in giving coaching input and feedback on his leadership style
  • Worked with senior teams in the planning and roll-out of major change announcements, including giving guidance on appropriate messages and feedback on delivery
  • Planned, wrote materials and delivered a year-long management development programme, with 1-to1’s, to senior members of a major trade association
  • Devising, developing and delivering a Coach training initiative for a major government department, to be rolled out across the department including the Fast Stream, advising and reporting on the implementation of the project and coaching the team leader
  • Devising, designing and developing Action Learning Sets for a major government department to facilitate self-directed self-development for managers and leaders, including graduate members of the fast-stream.
  • Team building initiatives for leaders and team members involving working with the relevant manager to design the work, workshops and 1-on-1 coaching to resolve differences, improve performance and to enhance focus and motivation and commitment to the vision.
  • Maintaining a high level of involvement with the same organisations over time, to design and develop various programmes, liaise with managers and ensure development of individuals and groups.
  • Delivering personal development programmes in a wide variety of settings, centres and cultures, focusing on Awareness as the key to growth and change.

John is an accredited member of the UK Association of Humanistic Psychology Practitioners (Educator and Group Facilitator: see www.ahpp.org), having undergone a rigorous assessment of his training and personal development, and he receives on-going professional supervision . He is also similarly an accredited member of the Association for Coaching and adheres to its Code of Ethics. He specialises in Humanistic and Transpersonal Psychology, which he utilises for highly effective and insightful facilitation techniques designed to get beneath the surface to remove blockages and bring about change.

He has a background of 17 years in Education to senior management level, having been a Head of Department for 10.5 years, and a Head of Examinations, and he holds a Post-Graduate Certificate in Education and a BA (2:1) from Oxford University. His 15 years organisational consulting experience covers almost every sector in the UK, both public and private, at all levels including Board level. He is also a Certified Laughter Yoga Teacher.
